This affects everyone who makes, builds or fixes things. This isn’t a firearms law. It’s a manufacturing law. And they buried it in the budget because they knew exactly what it was.

I’d agree that the Democratic Party is decidedly corporatist, but it seems evident that Mamdani is a socialist, putting him on the extreme left of what is a centre-right party (do you remember how prominent democrats refused to endorse him?). And how do you know he’s aware of this when not only is he responsible for running one of the greatest metropolises in the world, but the wording of this bill is, in your own words, hidden in s budget?
