The community believed their voice weren’t being heard by the shareholders, and the lack of a good response by Organic Maps led to a fork of the project being formed. CoMaps was meant to have more transparent governance and take more into account community feedback, and both the name and logo was voted by community members! I also know that iodeOS, a French based private degoogled Android ROM, ships with CoMaps as its default mapping app!

Additionally, CoMaps has already had a few neat extra features over Organic Maps added, like a nicer UI, which is pretty cool. And I think the (community voted) logo design looks nicer than that of Organic Maps, but that’s just my opinion.

I much prefer using OpenStreetMap apps like CoMaps since you can download offline versions of the map!

The main reason I like Jottacloud is because it has a good Linux client. I used to use pCloud (which also has EU based hosting) but it didn’t have a Linux client at the time. They do now, which is pretty neat!

My threat model is not super high (for cloud storage at least) since I just store my silly code projects and a few other bits in the cloud. It’s good to have options though, and for sure, E2E services will always be more secure and private. More options, the better!

Zelensky said that in the context of how the Ukrainians are keeping their spirits up in spite of Russian aggression. He did not say that people can joke about the war or the casualties on either side.

Those affected by the war have lost their family and friends, it is not in your right to make these comments.

The Ukrainians are not “joking about” when it comes to the war, as it’s an invasion of their homeland by a much larger nation with immense casualties. I’m not Ukrainian, but I had a friend who was, and I would like to ask you to please stop treating this conflict as a silly game and telling them to “stop coping”.

It is rude and disrespectful to all who died in the war.

I don’t think this is a topic where joking around is appreciated. Thousands of people have died on both sides of the war.
