I’m the same. I use Google maybe 1-2 times a year and only after exhausting my search terms in DDG, most of the time Google also can’t find what I’m looking for.

Countries have different fiscal years! In New Zealand for example, the new fiscal year begins in April, and in Australia it begins in July.

Yours is clearer, but the example is journalistic style, the same way sometimes headlines come across unclear or confusing.
