I really think as much as leftists want it to be Palestine, it’s really the same reasons that 2024 was a bad year for incumbents globally.

This World Cup is just…“who is this for???” at this point. Can’t talk about the Canada or Mexico dates, but… People around the world are boycotting the US while FIFA sucks up to the reason they’re boycotting the US. Average Americans don’t care about soccer, can’t afford tickets, and probably don’t appreciate shit like this happening (I’m sure there’s other examples, god knows there are regarding F1’s presence in Vegas,) and Americans who like soccer tend to be cosmopolitan liberals who won’t appreciate FIFA sucking Trump’s dick.

I know it’s actually for the super rich… But still.

I’m fine with that if they also acknowledge and denounce the harm to others; Sometimes it really does take being harmed yourself to see the problem.

I cannot imagine being that rich and going to Starbucks. The drip coffee I have at home is better.
