The old crannog was one of my absolute favourite places. Memories of listening to musicians playing in it are dear to me. I’ll be headed up to see the new one for sure

They’ve been picked by the FM but not yet given royal assent. The two designates in the Cabinet (Flynn and McKee) are the only two that didn’t have roles in the prior Cabinet

No more Forbes in the Cabinet? Fuck yes
Overall this seems decent. I’m happy to see Flynn get a job in Holyrood, and combining Gaelic with Culture & Education seems much more reasonable than lumping it in with Economy
You’ve been told correctly, or at least correctly enough that it won’t fit in a pocket. The attached pic is a bundle of 1,000 notes correctly packaged (assuming Canadian, since you said dollars and are on a .ca instance, but it’s similar for most currencies). One of those bundles in 100 dollar notes is, of course, $100,000, so presumably it’s some number between one and ten of those bundles

SIXTY TONNES OF BRONZE CANNON FOR THE VASA II

I like to think that the ghost of some 15th century court vihuela player is watching over the raves with great approval

Ooooh, this might have to be a birthday gift from me to myself
Oh, sorry, what I meant was that I won’t take my chances picking it before it’s in bloom. I did get myself a good harvest when I took the photo, my kitchen smells wonderful just now
The flavour is similar enough to garlic that it works in most of the same contexts, although in my experience it is even more vulnerable to burning than regular garlic so take care with the heat and cooking time. To be honest though I usually just like to mix it with some butter and have it on bread or potatoes, something plain with a nice texture to let the wild garlic shine
I should actually specify that in the post, you’re right
I’ve seen lily of the valley in the same area, I’m not taking my chances. It certainly still tastes good!
Early reports suggest that a filled barrel was also identified, but the archaeological team strenuously deny this and demand to know who told us
Replaying the Trainspotting it’s shite being Scottish rant when my friends abroad won’t take me seriously for almost dying of heat stroke in 25 C
