At least I have an understanding of what actually happened by reading that article. The one in the OP didn’t recount what happened at all beyond summarizing the entire thing as an abduction.

After getting some relevant details, such as the boarding taking place in international waters, the article actually had some value.

Any charity where you have to dig to find out where the proceeds go probably isn’t worth your time.

How could an industrial sized hookup be installed without the water company knowing? At first glance that doesn’t seem possible and it’s more likely someone at the water company dropped the ball or was being shady.
