I really don’t think that will stick long term. There’s a reason they started making the PC ports to begin with and that reason still exists. I think they’re just trying to build up the exclusivity things in the minds of consumers ahead of their PS6 launch in the next two years
Problem with that is most jobs are using an AI ingestion and rating system. So if I were a job applicant who doesn’t like AI and prefers to hand write resumes but I need a job to feed my family, I’m going to just blast out the AI resumes anyway because it just has the highest chance of working.

Apples low end something’s usually do not sell gang busters. Thats why they’re surprised here, because their cheapest tier of a given device line selling the most is pretty rare for them.

It’s interesting because it completely bucks the normal Apple trend where the best selling devices are their most premium offerings. People who buy Apple devices don’t usually want the cheapest base models, those folks usually turn to cheaper mid-market alternatives from other brands.
The fact that MacBook Neos are their top selling laptop is objectively sensational news precisely because, and to the contrary of your suggestion, it was not predictable at all.
It’s worth it to note that the majority of US states have similar laws regarding the carrying of blades over a certain length in public, and almost all public transit systems in the United States heavily restrict or outright forbid weapons on public transit.

They’re not at all above criticism. The thing is all we have in the way of criticism is article after article of misinformation born from either technical ignorance or deliberate misrepresentation of the facts. None of which stand up to a moments scrutiny, much less “prove” anything.
On the more innocent side of the scale, you’ll have people chastising Proton over negatives that are entirely out of their control, and exist because they have to when operating as a public email provider. Then those same people will point people to alternatives like Fastmail or Tutanota that have all the same problems, but are less transparent about it.
Like if you want to make an argument against public email providers as a whole you can surely do so, but so far there’s really no evidence that Proton is anything but as good as you are reasonably going to get if you do decide to use one.
