When gamification is used to persuade or hold a user into a subscribed service. Its predatory. It can be used to influence or motivate learners, classroom or online. But when used to further you being on the app, its not good.

Like healthcare, education and tech should be a good pairing but money is always driving the tech, which leverages the learner for profit. - Money should not be in healthcare, education and of course other sectors. There are some good uses, assistive tech, Moocs etc but anything commercial is predatory. Khan sold out years ago with the app and gamification.

Generally eu are pretty decent on this but states/countries need to consider how they use force. Esp in the light of how radical groups will galvinise this. Radical should be used in the correct sense, not in the way that we have all be conditioned to align it with extreme terrorism.

At this point it goes against the messaging these states have been parroting the last 20 years. Be a good citizen and report/oust those activist groups. Nothing turns you against the state than a state that beats or starves you.

I agree. And the idea of dumb is condescending. Some might be, some can also be smart, or persistent. That is often overlooked, and thats a dangerous underestimation.

Secondly the idea that taking the high road is the right thing to do, we have being doing that a long time and it’s been taken advantage off. There’s a big scale between being ideologically pure or a pacifist, to what you can still achieve with the ‘threat’ of consequence. People need start calling it what it is, it’s a fight and being ethically right is not going to save you from a bully.

They still need to learn consequence.

And we need to start being comfortable with naming and shaming again. These people are funding fascism both economically and ideologically.
