These two books should be required reading: The Hot Zone - Richard Preston https://richard-preston.net/book/the-hot-zone/ The Coming Plague - Laurie Garrett https://www.lauriegarrett.com/the-coming-plague It’s the same story in both. Preston’s book is a little sensationalized and reads like a Michael Crighton novel. Light, breezy and horrifying. Garretts book reads like a New York Times article, painstakingly reaearched and sourced.
