Chinese and Russian leaders boast of close ties and warn ‘of a drift back to the law of the jungle’

Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin issued a joint condemnation of “irresponsible” US foreign policy on Wednesday, warning of “a drift back to the law of the jungle”.

The statement came after the Chinese and Russian leaders held a summit in Beijing that followed a visit to the capital by Donald Trump.

The exchanges between Xi and Putin were notably warm and Wednesday’s summit appeared to be more substantive than Xi’s meetings with the US president.

At least china has moved almost a billion people out of poverty. China has affordable housing, universal healthcare, affordable college and state of the art infrastructure. I think we’re worse than china and basically the same as warmongering oligarch and organized crime run Russia or even worse when you take into account the civilian deaths caused by us around the world. We’re bankrolling the genocide in Gaza and sending oligarchs to “rebuild” grift billions while covering up the genocide. Iraq, Afghanistan, Cuba, Nam, the CIA operations in south and Central America, the American corporate slaughter in Africa, hell we lose hundreds of thousands of Americans every year due to blatant cruelty like denying healthcare, housing, food and opportunity, our own CIA planted crack in black neighborhoods, COINTELPRO infiltrated and murdered all the civil rights leaders, Epstein was CIA or Mossad if there’s even a difference he won the lottery multiple times his girlfriends dad stole nuclear secrets for Israel and now we have a fascist paramilitary kidnapping people and taking them to concentration camps.

Okay, these two in particular feel like the pots calling the kettle black.

Don’t get me wrong, the foreign policy of the US is beyond a train wreck right now and we’re doing damage that will take decades to undo.

But the US being terrible doesn’t mean these guys are good.

Extremely unlikely to ever be undone IMO, decades may as well be never. Otherwise, agreed.

What do you expect when Americans elected the most irresponsible person we could find to the presidency?

Didn’t Trump say that Xi told him he was going to take a harder line with Putin?

It used to be that the US commanded some respect, but now we put a clown who always chickens out in charge, this is what happens.

Russia and China, the big brother regimes that Trump admires and tries to emulate except he’s impulsive and incompetent so it’s affecting their ability to maintain control over global economics.
